Earlier: Trump Calls Biden An ”Enemy Of The State”—What He Really Means Is An Enemy Of The American Nation
Last week, Joe Biden delivered one of the strangest presidential speeches in American history. On September 1, standing before Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, the president declared war on “MAGA Republicans.” The message shocked many observers, including some Leftists. Though Biden softened his message the next day [Biden: ‘I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country,’ The Hill, September 2, 2022], on Labor Day he reiterated what he said before: Former President Trump and his followers are dangerous and threaten “democracy.” This should disabuse the Republicans and conservatives of any notion we can return to normal. The Hard Left and Democrat leaders aren’t just Americans we happen to disagree with—they’re totalitarians who want to swamp and subjugate the Historic American Nation. What VDARE Editor Peter Brimelow said last year is right: “We are in the early stages of a communist coup.”
Biden’s rhetoric was unprecedented. “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” he declared in what the White House called a “non-political” address. Not all Republicans are to blame, he said kindly, before elaborating on how MAGA Republicans will destroy “American democracy” unless checked.
Some other lowlights from the speech:
MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people.…
MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards—backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.
They promote authoritarian leaders, and they fan the flames of political violence
that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.…
Democrats, independents, mainstream Republicans: We must be stronger, more determined, and more committed to saving American democracy than MAGA Republicans are to—to destroying American democracy.
[Remarks by President Biden on the Continued Battle for the Soul of the Nation, WhiteHouse.gov, September 1, 2022]
Biden also implied that political violence in this country is entirely the fault of “MAGA Republicans.” This ignores, significantly, the arson, rioting, and pillaging by Antifa and Black Lives Matter in 2020—as well the earlier arson, rioting, and pillaging in Washington, D.C. on January 20, 2017, Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day.
Recall that just a few days before Biden’s Independence Hall speech, he delivered a bizarre campaign oration in which he actually seemed to relish the idea of using F-15 fighters against citizens who criticize the government. “For those brave right-wing Americans who say it’s all about keeping America independent and safe, if you want to fight against the country, you need an F-15. You need something more than a gun,” he declared to applause [Remarks by President Biden on the Safer America Plans, WhiteHouse.gov, August 30, 2022].
Tell that to the Taliban.
The scenery of the Independence Hall speech intensified the impact of Biden’s unhinged belligerence. The background was dark and only illuminated by menacing red lights. Two silent Marines stood behind the president, representing the awesome military might at Biden’s disposal. It appears the message was intended to frighten MAGA Republicans, to let them know Biden was prepared to use military force against them.
Biden and his subalterns, though, might remember one thing. Most combat soldiers are white, and a majority are undoubtedly conservative. That goes double for Marines. If I were Let’s Go Brandon, I wouldn’t count on GIs and Marines waging war on their families and friends.
But a day later, questioned responding to reporters’ questions, Biden appeared to have second thoughts about his implicit threat of police-state tactics:
When people voted for Donald Trump and support him now, they weren’t voting for attacking the Capitol. They weren’t voting for overruling an election. They were voting for a philosophy he put forward.
[Remarks by President Biden on American Rescue Plan Investments, WhiteHouse.gov, September 2, 2022]
But that tone didn’t last long. Subsequently, at a Labor Day event in Wisconsin, Biden targeted POTUS 45 and his followers again, even if he did leave out Republicans he likes, meaning those who won’t fight the communist coup:
I want to be very clear up front: Not every Republican is a MAGA Republican. Not every Republican embraces that extreme ideology. I know because I’ve been able to work with mainstream Republicans my whole career.
But the extreme MAGA Republicans in Congress have chosen to go backwards—full of anger, violence, hate, and division.
[Remarks by President Biden Celebrating Labor Day and the Dignity of American Workers, WhiteHouse.gov, September 2, 2022]
Biden’s Independence Hall speech leaned into the “Dark Brandon” meme now popular among Leftists. The meme imagines Biden—given the name “Brandon” from the Let’s Go Brandon chant—as an unstoppable leader who erases opposition by force and sheer will. No malarkey on his watch.
It’s a strange way to portray a commander-in-chief who garbles speeches, struggles to put on his coat, and needs his wife to push him around in front of the cameras. But Leftists, including White House staffers, must have decided that the American public loves the meme too. So they made it come to life, thinking it would be a hit [‘Dark Brandon’ Poses Dilemma for Democrats as Biden Seeks Re-election, by Darragh Roche, Newsweek, September 3, 2022].
However, the speech was a hit only among Biden’s most ardent supporters. Conservatives, even some Never Trumpers, were appalled. Even a few Leftist CNN reporters found the lighting and use of Marines completely inappropriate [Liberals fume at CNN reporters who mildly criticized military presence at Biden speech, by Gabriel Hayes, Fox News, September 2, 2022]. And the Washington Post Editorial Board criticized Biden as too partisan and divisive:
You don’t persuade people by scolding or demeaning them, but that’s how the president’s speech landed for many conservatives of goodwill.
Mr. Biden was wrong to conflate upholding the rule of law with his own partisan agenda, which he called “the work of democracy.” You can be for democracy but against the president’s policy proposals to use government to lower prescription-drug prices and combat climate change.
[Democracy is in danger. Biden should invoke patriotism, not partisanship, to make that point, Washington Post, September 2, 2022]
It’s a good sign the speech was a dud if WaPo editorialists didn’t like it. But it’s not like the president will change course. This has been the primary Democratic midterm pitch since January 6, 2021. Besides abortion, Democrats have nothing else to run on. They can’t run on the economy, immigration, Law and Order, or foreign policy successes. All they can count on is portraying their political enemies as a grave threat to democracy.
Note that Biden’s speech isn’t just empty rhetoric. It’s backed by government force. More than 900 people have been arrested and charged in connection with last year’s Mostly Peaceful Protest on January 6 [At least 903 people have been charged in the Capitol insurrection so far. This searchable table shows them all, by Madison Hall, Skye Gould, Rebecca Harrington, Jacob Shamsian, Azmi Haroun, Taylor Ardrey, and Erin Snodgrass, Insider, August 30, 2022].
The Biden Regime keeps repeating that “white supremacy” is the No. 1 domestic terror threat and has set aside vast resources to tackle the phantom menace. The White House collaborated with an educator’s union on a letter that demanded federal law enforcement punish “terrorists”—meaning parents—who oppose Critical Race Theory at school board meetings. The federal government pressures tech companies to censor people with “dangerous” views and dictates new speech policies for these companies to follow [White House, Big Tech colluded to censor ‘misinformation,’ by Mark Lungariello and Samuel Chamberlain, New York Post, September 1, 2022].
All this is part of the drive to establish totalitarian Democrat power and dispossess the Historic American Nation. This aligns with Biden’s Great Replacement immigration policy. He’s released more than one million illegals into the heartland since he took office [Disclosures: Biden Has Released Nearly 1.05 million SW Border Migrants into the U.S., by Andrew R. Arthur, CIS.org, June 17, 2022]. Treason Lobbyists know that mass immigration—whether legal or illegal—is the route to demographic replacement and permanent power. Their only concern: minimizing Americans’ attention to the border—which the Regime Media enables.
If/when the Biden DOJ indicts Donald Trump, expect an intensified attack on MAGA Republicans in particular and conservative Republicans in general. Locking up Trump has nothing to do with his alleged misdeeds. It’s about sending a message to his supporters and those who back an America First Agenda: “You’ll go to jail if you try to oppose us.”
The 903 Trump supporters charged in connection with January 6 already received that message loud and clear.
Brandon and his controllers simply see Republicans as enemies. “Democracy” means no rights for white Americans, while foreigners get the right to vote and illegal aliens are protected from deportation. Normal parents can’t even protest their Woke school board without being labeled terrorists. Meanwhile, black career criminals roam freely without having to post bail for their latest offense.
This is the America that Democrats want to establish. They want to destroy everything real Americans love about this country and throw them in jail for complaining about it.
The only thing in their way is the Historic American Nation. That’s why they have declared war on it. But Biden might not get his wish. If Leftist journalists weren’t thrilled with his war declaration, just imagine what independent voters thought of it.
