Normally you'd have to read African newspapers to find such a story of public stupidity.

All that was needed to avoid death was somebody applying pressure to the wound. Instead, everybody bolted out fear of getting a ticket.

James Fulford writes: The man was killed by the spur that game fowl enthusiasts fasten to the rooster's leg. This is not the first such death. The problems is that cockfighting is now illegal in all fifty states, but still legal in Mexico, and the patrons of these affairs are now largely Mexican, and largely illegal.
