The book What We Do Now: Standing Up For Your Values In Trump's America, a collection of Trump-hating, democracy-resisting essays does not include the word "rapists" in a Control+F search. So I tried searching for "rape", and got this essay, from a black woman named Brittany Packnett:

And white people, you give permission to this culture every day you do nothing more than have “conversations on race.” You don’t get to just have conversations anymore. You don’t get to just wear a safety pin and call yourself an ally. You don’t get to just talk while the rest of us fear for our lives because discrimination, rape culture, and xenophobia just won the White House.

White people: what is your plan for the Trump presidency?

By Brittany Packnett, Vox, November 14, 2016

As I noted in my previous post, Trump ran against rape culture--the genuine rape culture brought by Hispanic immigrants.

Remember, Mexico is a much more rape-y country than the US. There's a reason that we use the Spanish word machismo to signify brutality towards women, and both official and unofficial attitudes towards rape in Mexico are very retrograde. For example, the age of consent in Mexico is 12,  and statutory rape by Mexicans in America is common.

adiosslantMexico's rape problem is horrible. In 2003, Mary Jordan of the Washington Post  won the Pulitzer for her horrifyingly detailed story of the culture of rape in Mexico and how rarely it's punished.  [In Mexico, an Unpunished Crime, By Mary Jordan, Washington Post, July 30, 2002]
