The post-Gaddafi Libyan flag in the background flies over would-be "migrants" to Europe
[See Also: The First World Strikes Back? Italy MAY Intervene in Libya, by Peter Brimelow, February 16, 2015]The migrant crisis in Libya (which isn't actually a humanitarian crisis, but an immigration scam) is a classic example of Western governments harming their own people. The Third World flood engulfing Southern Europe is precisely what the late Col. Gaddafi predicted if he was removed from power. And it poses a real national security threat, as the terrorist group ISIS has directly threatened to use the immigration "weapon" to destroy Europe.
The next step is inevitable. Military intervention and de-facto recolonization of parts of Libya in order to restore order are being discussed by the European Union.
European plans for a military campaign to smash the migrant smuggling networks operating out of Libya include options for ground forces on Libyan territory.Of course, this isn't going to do much good unless there is also an Australian style effort to inform would be migrants that Europe will not be their home, no matter what they do. Instead, European Union officials are cooing to the United Nations that invaders will not be sent back "involuntarily."The 19-page strategy paper for the mission, obtained by the Guardian, focuses on an air and naval campaign in the Mediterranean and in Libyan territorial waters, subject to United Nations blessing. But it adds that ground operations in Libya may also be needed to destroy the smugglers’ vessels and assets, such as fuel dumps.
“A presence ashore might be envisaged if agreement was reached with relevant authorities,” says the paper which is expected to be endorsed by European Unionforeign ministers on Monday before the mission is ordered by heads of government at an EU summit in June.

Refugees and migrants intercepted at sea will not “be sent back against their will,” the European Union’s top diplomat assured the U.N. Security Council on Monday, citing a proposed EU maritime operation against the growing wave of migrant smuggling from north Africa.Indeed, the European Union is already discussing plans to force nations to accept "migrants."Federica Mogherini addressed the council as the 28-member EU prepares to start making decisions next week on an operation to identify, capture and destroy boats before they are used by migrant smugglers.
Stressing the urgency of the crisis as migrants continue to set off from the north African coast toward Europe and many die, Mogherini later told reporters that the EU is prepared to take certain steps before the council adopts any resolution authorizing the operation — even as a draft was expected to circulate to all 15 council members within hours. She would not say what those steps are.
Concerns remained even among some council members that the migrants themselves will be harmed, sent back or not be allowed to seek better lives. “No one is thinking of bombing,” Mogherini said briskly.

What we may end up with is the worst of both worlds. Because of the European Union's refusal to secure its own borders and adopt rational immigration law enforcement, the endless Camp of the Saints style flood will continue. At the same time, military intervention in Libya (for the "migrants' own good" of course) will impose more expenses, casualties, and infringements of national sovereignty on European populations.
If post-Gaddafi Libya can't govern itself, re-colonization in some form or another is all but inevitable. Unfortunately, at the same time the EU is colonizing Libya from the top down, African migrants will be demographically colonizing Europe from the bottom up. One can't help but wonder if this was the plan of those who removed Gaddafi from power all along.
