The male doppelganger of Kirstjen Nielsen, Customs puke, Obama holdover, #DeepState saboteur Kevin McAleenan, Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, is continuing the failed policies of an open border and no consequences for illegal entry to the United States. Nielsen created the current crisis on the border by doing nothing or actively sabotaging enforcement action. Under her watch, after prosecutions of illegal entrants were ended, the floodgates opened.
Now, under her male replacement, 5,000 illegals are being arrested each day and all are being released, with employment authorization. This never happened under Obama. And now we have a new Kirstjen Nielsen in office, but it’s just Nielsen dressed up like a man.
And now my concerns about McAleenan, and other Trump appointees, have been shown to be correct.
Kevin McAleenan, the acting director of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has made few changes to the policies set by former DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, say current and former agency officials.
Sources close to Breitbart News, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, say DHS management teams have deliberately sidetracked, stalled, and stopped policies sought by President Donald Trump. Those policies, which were promised by his 2016 presidential campaign, were intended to end illegal immigration, build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and empower the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to deport illegal aliens living in the country.[Exclusive–McAleenan Protects Kirstjen Nielsen’s DHS ‘Swamp’ Culture, by John Binder, May 22, 2019]
The Breitbart article is low on specifics, but there is information in the article that to an insider shows the accuracy of the report.
Under McAleenan, “You don’t see an influx of these pro-Trump types,” one source said. “This is who McAleenan is bringing with him. All career federal employees — Washington beltway people…”
Part of McAleenan’s operation includes bringing on key staff who are either career federal employees or political appointees approved by the White House personnel office. Many of McAleenan’s new hires at DHS, sources said, are staffers from the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency. Sources repeatedly noted that CBP has a large anti-Trump contingent that was vocal during the 2016 presidential election.
Some of those CBP officials that may be brought on to DHS by McAleenan or have already been moved over to the agency are Patrick Flanagan, Valerie Boyd, and Andrew Meehan, according to sources.
As usual, the three are long-time Obama officials or open borders advocates; Boyd was a White House staffer under Obama, Flanagan was also an Obama White House staffer, and Meehan is a travel industry representative, who’s interests are not securing the border, but allowing mass influx of aliens to benefit the travel industry.
Tellingly though, it was the unnamed officials that are cause for more concern. Likely those are fellow CBP officials, although from the legacy U.S. Customs Service (USCS), rather than the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). Legacy USCS employees have neither the knowledge or interest in enforcing immigration laws, such as CBP legacy Customs officials Charles Perez and Roderick Hudson, and it shows as the Zerg Rush continues at the border, despite the fact that the problem could be solved in two weeks by judicious pressure on Mexico.
As evidence of McAleenan's failure, see this, 100% of illegal aliens crossing the Mexican border are being released.
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan said Thursday that “100%” of illegal-immigrant families in the new border surge are being released into communities, rather than being held and deported.
He said within a month or two, they are also granted work permits, giving them a foothold to live and remain in the U.S. while their cases proceed through the immigration courts — a process that averages two years, and stretches even longer in some overwhelmed regions.
Mr. McAleenan said that system, rewarding unauthorized migrants who jump the border with exactly the thing they seek, is responsible for the record-breaking numbers.
“That is directly how smugglers are advertising,” he told the Senate Homeland Security Committee, adding that it applies not just to families seeking asylum.

This despite the fact that apparently the illegal aliens are no longer even claiming political asylum:
McAleenan just admitted a lot of them arent even asking for asylum but they are still released. For the life of me, this is against current law. What ever happened to expedited removal?

Furthermore, there is no law that says illegal aliens are required to be given work authorization. The regulations, not law, say that illegal aliens who have claimed asylum and are waiting for a hearing may apply for employment authorization, but approval is not mandatory, but under McAleenan the applications are being processed without the six month wait, or using authority to deny the applications. Approval is not mandatory, but an exercise of discretion by DHS.
Personnel is policy. McAleenan is deliberately sabotaging immigration enforcement. Time for him to be removed.
