If the National Sheriffs' Association has ever accused a president of refusing to enforce the law, undermining law enforcement, and, in the end, border treason, I’d like to know which one of the previous 45 it was.
NSA didn’t say so directly in their missive to Senators Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell, but it made the point nonetheless. They want Congress to stop POTUS 46 Brandon from lifting the Title 42 expulsion of illegal aliens that President Trump began during 2020’s Flu Manchu panic.
NSA wrote on April 19, and Biden has said he’ll obey a federal court order to maintain Title 42 [Biden administration will comply with expected federal order blocking termination of Title 42, by Priscilla Alvarez and Donald Judd, CNN, April 26, 2022]. Still, the letter is worth reading.

“We write today to lend our voice to keeping Title 42 authority for Customs and Border officers intact,” they begin the short and sweet admonition.
Here’s the rest:
Title 42 is a public health authority used by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to protect against the spread of communicable disease. The CDC is affirmatively seeking to rescind this policy on May 23, 2022. Title 42 is the only policy provision left since January 2022 that helps to stop the unhealthy (no COVID testing) border crossings by millions of illegal entrants to our Country.
We simply have no border left in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas or Southern California. The Administration since day one, phased out remain in Mexico (overturned by courts), reversed asylum restrictions, implemented [a] 100 day pause on deportations and stopped building the barrier which defines our border. Now, the Administration is ending one of our most effective health measures, Title 42, which seeks to return illegal immigrants to their home country during this pandemic. Today, there are thousands of immigrants in the jungles of the Darien gap headed to the US border. We simply don’t know their health status and implore you to keep Title 42 as the last policy we have to keep Americans safe from COVID and a host of other communicable diseases carried by these immigrants.
We have already reached the million-illegal immigrant mark in just 6 short months. This letter addresses Title 42 so we won’t speak about the amount of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, ghost guns, ammunition and other deadly substances flowing across our border at this very moment. We the undersigned Sheriffs call for the Congress to keep Title 42 and help save American lives.
Signers included state and regional associations, three of them from blue states, along with individual county sheriffs.

The message to Let’s Go Brandon is clear. The nation’s sheriffs already deal with the obvious consequences of his border treason, and didn’t much appreciate the anticipated invasion that will make their jobs all the harder.
Then again, as VDARE reported last week, Biden has already dropped the expulsions. What that means relative to the court order remains to be seen. What it means for the Historic American Nation is unmistakable. Barring the remorseless expulsion of every illegal alien border agents arrest, the Camp-of-the-Saints invasion will continue.
