Another Martin Luther King Day has passed, but not without celebration. After all, what would Martin Luther King Day be without a little exuberance? In Fort Pierce, Florida, two organizations named “Give Back 2 The Kids” & “Be XQUISIT” hosted a MLK Car Show & Family Fun Day complete with live music, bouncy castles, and security provided by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Dept. Reports say 1,000 people were in attendance.
Unfortunately, at around 5:20pm, shots rang out in Fort Pierce’s Illous Ellis Park. 8 people were injured directly by the gunfire, with four others, including a child, were injured by the following pandamonium.
Police are still searching for suspects involved in the shooting.
