The Huffington Post’s Christopher Mathias [Tweet him/Email him] earns a living trying to ruin patriots, even exposing them to threats of violence. But like other doxers who front for Antifa and Black Lives Matter, he’s a privileged rich kid. Thus he targets those he undoubtedly believes are his lessers—working-class dissidents who’ve had enough of Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the Floyd Hoax, and Critical Race Theory. And like the rest, because he punches down, he richly deserves what he dishes out. Let’s dox another doxer!

By my calculation, Mathias has smeared 80 people just since the beginning of 2021. Undoubtedly, smearing 13 people a month is no easy job. But before detailing his professional career and a few of his targets, it’s worth reprising his life of Riley before he rose to become a key hitman for the radical Left and its Antifa terror auxiliary. (Note to Christopher: If I underestimated your victim count, please forgive me. Keeping track is no easy task!)

Mathias hails from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, which is not Appalachia. His father was a doctor, so he certainly lived comfortably enough. He graduated from Gettysburg Area High School in 2004 and from Emerson College (tuition, $51,264), a swanky Boston private school for rich kids, in 2008.

But Mathias uses his ties to his storied home town to smear those he doesn’t like—i.e. just about anyone who doesn’t swallow the Leftist narrative.

Responding to a tweet from the New York Times about “red tourism” in China, where the tourists dress in Red Army costumes and pledge allegiance to the Communist Party, Mathias tweeted this:

Lol you wanna talk about sanitized versions of history? let me tell you about my hometown, a lil place called Gettysburg, PA …

“Tourists,” dressed in replica grey Confederate costumes, sing Dixie and pledge their allegiance to the Lost Cause.

This is “civil war tourism in America, where people flock to historic sites to absorb a sanitized version of the country's history."

Anyway, when Mathias trundled off to Emerson—and left behind the benighted 34 percent of his high school chums considered poor—he joined the Emerson Anti-Authoritarians.

After that, he attended Columbia Journalism School (tuition, room and board $116,899). Must be nice! He graduated in 2015.

Mathias’ professional history, his LinkedIn profile shows, is unremarkable: internships here and there, some time at the New York Post and some work for leftist National Public Radio.

But a job that stands out is his time in 2010 writing for Nerve.com, the “premier online magazine dedicated to sex, dating and culture.”

What a shocker: A Leftist writes for magazine preoccupied with sex.

For one piece, Mathias transcribed Sex Advice From Magic the Gathering Players

A tidbit from that fine piece of literature:

I love getting road head but don’t currently have a car and neither does she. Any advice for getting a b***job on another form of transportation?

The back of a bus allows for various levels of showing off, or see if you can borrow a friend’s car for an afternoon road trip (make sure you offer to fill the gas tank before dropping it off). Just steer clear of the back of your mom’s station wagon.

[Sex Advice From Magic the Gathering Players, April 16, 2010].

Similarly, Mathias cowrote   “The Ten Sexiest Housekeepers of Cinema[April 26, 2010]:

Here’s the introduction to that list:

Maids and butlers are hired to keep things clean, but they consistently fill our minds with dirty thoughts. That’s the conundrum we faced when trying to choose only ten of cinema's sexiest maids and butlers. It was tough, but in the spirit of spring cleaning, we did all the messy work for you.

Somehow, it took three people to come up with that sparkling example of prose and “journalism.”

Then there was Sex Advice From Valedictorians [June 4, 2010]:

Mathias also crossposted the piece at HookSexUp.

And oddly, that’s where Mathias offers some family history, in an interview with his parents [Before You Were Born: Franciscan friar-bassist finds true love, June 14, 2010]. Mathias published the interview first at Nerve.com.

His parents Norbert Mathias and Eileen Mathias (formerly Norbert Dziengielewski and Eileen Dziengielewski) discuss the beginning of their life together, while Norbert was a Franciscan friar, a bassist, and studying at Georgetown University School of Medicine. The couple explain why and how they changed their name: Dziengielewski is tough to pronounce; Mathias, West Virginia, is a town they loved.

There are multiple profiles for a doctor using the name “Norbert Mathias,” with a Georgetown University education, near Gettysburg:

One wonders what Mathias’ parents think about their life story appearing at a porn website, and of their son’s association with sex-obsessed weirdos. After all, his father is a former Franciscan friar and prominent doctor.

But on to Norbert and Ellen’s big boy.

Mathias’s HuffPost byline has been featured on more than a thousand articles, his MuckRack profile reports, many of them crossposted to larger sites such as Yahoo, a transmission belt that spreads his poison well beyond HuffPost’s reach.

As a “reporter” covering the “far right, disinformation, and hate,” Mathias invents threats to keep himself employed.

But he doesn’t just attack high-profile figures who can muster the resources to defend themselves, such as Tucker Carlson, and Reps. Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene. He’s especially focused on ruining every-day, normal people.

Ruining the lives of teachers is a particular Mathias specialty. In 2019, he targeted a teacher of Japanese at a public magnet school in Texas with the usual results [Texas Teacher Put On Leave After Alleged Ties To White Nationalist Group Exposed, Huffington Post,April 5, 2019].

In 2018, Mathias and two accomplices forced the resignation of a middle school teacher in Florida [Exclusive: Florida Public School Teacher Has A White Nationalist Podcast, by Christopher Mathias, Jenna Amatulli, and Rebecca Klein, Huffington Post, March 3, 2018].

But teachers aren’t the only working-class professionals the sex-obsessed Mathias has targeted: He doesn’t like cops or military men with contrarian views either.

In the 1950s, smearing people for their political views was called “blacklisting.”

But anyway, at least Mathias cites his sources. His main source: Antifa. So we not only know where Mathias mines his ore, but also where to dig for more doxers. One source is “Angry White Men,” the blog for Twitter leftist Eyes on the Right and a favorite source for Antifa doxers.

Wrote Mathias in his piece about the teacher in Florida:

Earlier this week, the blog Angry White Men, which tracks white nationalism, wrote a post about how someone named [redacted] had interviewed the prominent white supremacist media figure Lana Lokteff on this week’s episode of “Unapologetic.” Lokteff works for the media outfit Red Ice TV, which the Southern Poverty Law Center recently designated as a hate group.

Mathias explicitly stipulated that his information about the teacher in Texas came from Eugene Antifa:

Earlier Thursday, anonymous anti-fascist activists from an Oregon-based group called Eugene Antifa posted an article alleging that [redacted] is a member of the white nationalist group Identity Evropa.

Upshot: Mathias isn’t really a journalist. He’s a smear merchant and Antifa propagandist. Did I mention that he’s something of a sex pervert?

Anyway, and amusingly enough, Mathias affects to scoff at the claim that he’s an Antifa sympathizer.

sheriff of Spokane County didn't care for a recent story I wrote about his office’s arrest of a protester so yesterday he did 45-minute press conference about it.

at one point he displayed a tweet from a random Twitter troll as evidence that I might have some antifa sympathies

MEMORANDUM FOR CHRISTOPHER MATHIAS: You ARE an Antifa sympathizer. Forget about the “Twitter troll.” Your stories, sources, and your public commentary prove it.

Eoin Lenihan, a Stuttgart-based analyst whose work is focused on online extremism,  recently outlined the relationship between journalists and Antifa and discussed Mathias’ modus operandi at length:

Christopher Mathias, a senior reporter for the Huffington Post, applies the same cynical approach. Like [the Guardian’s Jason] Wilson, Mathias’ byline seems to pop up whenever Antifa stages violent protests—and he always can be counted on to deliver a play-by-play that favors Antifa. But he goes even further than his Guardian counterpart. Unlike Wilson, Mathias actually doxes individuals whom he suspects of being right-wing extremists. His doxing sources for an article about suspected extremists in the U.S. military included Unicorn Riot, an anarchic Antifa journalist collective, and other shady sites that exist as a sort of in-house 4chan for the Antifa movement. (Mathias cited similar sources when he published identifying details of a Texas schoolteacher, and of a Virginia police officer.)

Mathias’ apparent modus operandi is to gather doxes of individuals whom Antifa or Antifa-friendly groups suspect of being right-wing extremists. He (or a colleague) at Huffington Post then reach out to the target’s employer asking for comment, leveraging the media outlet’s name to ensure the individual is called out. Then Mathias posts the doxes in his column while investigations are ongoing. As with [activist] Emily Gorcenski’s First Vigil site, Mathias broadcasts detailed personal information whose release seems designed to destroy the reputation of the accused, no matter the results of any subsequent investigation. It’s unclear how this behavior differs from ordinary, everyday Antifa-style online activism.

[It’s Not Your Imagination: The Journalists Writing About Antifa Are Often Their Cheerleaders, May 29, 2019]

Of course, “journalists” were furious. Panicked that the jig was up, the formerly prestigious Columbia Journalism Review—”the voice of journalism”—published a counterattack from Antifa propagandist and doxer Jared Holt  [Right-wing publications launder an anti-journalist smear campaign, June 12, 2019].

Tempting as it is, let’s not return to Holt but instead stay with Comrade Mathias. He has used Antifa Seven Hills for his reports [Cop Suspended After Anti-Fascists Expose His Affinity For White Nationalist Group, February 6, 2019], and in May 2021, warmly discussed his career with the “Yeah Nah Pasaran” radio show, which claims it is dedicated to “[e]xamining, through an anti-fascist lens, ethno-nationalism, white supremacy and neo-fascism in so-called Australia, Aotearoa & around the world.”

The show’s Facebook page makes it clear it is yet another Antifa propaganda outlet. One of the hosts, Andy Fleming, actually describes himself as Antifa:

Mathias discussed Unicorn Riot as a source and his collaboration with “anti-fascist researchers” for one of his stories, which led to half the targets being kicked out of the military.

“Extremists are attracted to the military for a lot of reasons,” he said. “One of which is to get, you know, combat training that they can then use for…maybe to inflict on civilian targets.”

But don’t you dare say anything about the Antifa activists who are fighting in Syria and have been investigated by the Department of Homeland Security for their ties to terrorism.

Mathias also lamented that Democrats aren’t cheerleading enough for Antifa and Black Lives Matter:

I don’t have a lot of faith in the Democratic Party to really confront the far-right here, especially when they really keep throwing the more radical left here under the bus, which, even though it’s the radical left that kind of makes sh*t happen on the front lines.

That, apparently, is what “radicalized” Mathias.

Mathias later joked that President Biden was an Antifa “black bloc” goon, then added that “we’ve got secret Antifa infiltrators all over congress now.”

“We,” of course, can only means that Mathias views himself as an Antifa member.

Antifa propaganda is an institutional disease at HuffPost, by the way: Senior Editor Andy Campbell also regurgitates stories from Antifa activists at Unicorn Riot.

Campbell even did an explainer video, “What is Antifa?”

Said Campbell:

Does Antifa throw a brick or two through a window? Sure. Do they declare that they're willing to use violence if that means thwarting a white supremacist threat? Absolutely. Have we seen instances, or a coordinated effort to harm other Americans? Absolutely not. There’s just no evidence.

“No evidence?” What about all those who lost jobs thanks to Mathias and Campbell?

How much does Mathias believe in Antifa’s cause? When Antifa goons threatened to beat him up for covering a typically violent Antifa riot, he blamed the “alt-right.”

Another woman said she would use her gun on me. She just walked by and told “one day, motherf***er” you’re gonna get it.” ...

Still, from the sounds of it, it was alt-right that instigated everything.”

Maybe the Antifa woman didn’t know Mathias was an ally.

And it’s significant that, more recently Mathias was arrested for “no reason” while covering a Black Lives Matter riot in New York City [HuffPost Reporter Chris Mathias Arrested While Peacefully Covering NYC Anti-Racism Protest, by Paige Lavender and Jenna Amatulli, HuffPost, May 31, 2020]. Judge for yourself whether cops arrested the “journalist” for “no reason.”

The truth about Mathias is this: He channels Antifa propaganda into the Mainstream Media in order to smear innocent Americans who hold views he doesn’t like. Their employers than use the suspect material to ruin people financially and professionally.

We know it. He knows it. And he knows we know it.

The First Amendment protects Mathias’ hit pieces; they’re on the internet forever. They will never be expunged. That makes him in some ways even more dangerous than the thugs who riot.

We can see them; police can stop them.

We can’t stop Mathias. But we can fight fire with fire, and dox him and his associates the way he doxes others.

Finally, a question for Mathias’ parents: Do you care that your son published your life story at a website that publishes porn?

If not, no wonder your boy turned out the way he did.

If so, maybe you three need to have a talk.
