The New England Patriots play Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game January 23, for the honor of representing the AFC in the Super Bowl in two weeks’ time. A few hours later, the Carolina Panthers will play the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game, to represent the NFC. Who will the Main Stream Media declare the NFL’s Great White Dope?
The Great White Dopes of 2015: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his head coach, Bill Belichick. The MSM declared Brady and Belichick cheaters based on the “Deflategate” hoax. [True Scandal of Deflategate Lies in the N.F.L.’s Behavior by Joe Nocera, New York Times, Jan. 22, 2016]
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are the greatest player and coach, respectively, of their era—a case can be made that each is the greatest of all time. They have taken the Patriots to six Super Bowls, a record for a coach-quarterback duo, winning four. But they are both hideously white and male.
Professional football has been completely racialized and politicized by an alliance of owners, non-white players, and MSM sportswriter Social Justice Warriors, the latter of whom have little real interest in sports.
Thus the MSM SJWs and their racial socialist allies turned last year’s Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks into a referendum on race. It was necessary that the team with a black quarterback and head coach win—except that neither team had a black QB or head coach. But the Seahawks had a black-enough quarterback (mulatto Russell Wilson). And the Patriots had more white players. So the Patriots were the bad guys, and had to lose. Since they did win, they had to be stripped of their title—hence DeflateGate.
In fact, though much of the MSM and fans ignored this, it was the Seahawks that had the worse history of cheating. After Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll left USC after coaching it from 2001-2009, the NCAA stripped it of its 2004/5 national championship, and its star player, Reggie Bush, of his 2005 Heisman Trophy, for rules violations. The Seahawks had had more players test positive for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs), six, than any other team in the NFL. (The test for loudmouthed, black, all-pro cornerback Richard Sherman was thrown out on a technicality.)
During the run-up to the last Super Bowl, two black Seahawks stars were openly hostile towards white reporters. NFL rules require players be available to the media, in order to help market the game, which earns the players millions of additional dollars. The NFL’s poor black multi-millionaires apparently consider that rule yet another instance of racist whites enslaving blacks.
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch refused to answer any of the white reporters’ questions, instead repeating robotically, “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”
However, Lynch had no problem exploiting Media Day to promote his own business, and he is now trademarking his truculence to sell apparel bearing his statement.
He also has no problem answering questions from black media personalities. In 2014, Lynch boycotted Media Day altogether, but gave an interview to black personality Deion Sanders.
Not to be outdone, All-Pro Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman made a point of openly insulting a white reporter. "I don't really answer preschool questions, so you improve your line of questioning, and we'll talk." [Richard Sherman: I don't answer preschool questions, By Marc Sessler, NFL.com, January 25, 2015 ]
Millions of TV viewers had become acquainted with Sherman after the 2013 NFC Championship Game. Sherman’s Seahawks had just beaten the San Francisco 49ers. But instead of being gracious, sore winner Sherman, from black gang capital Compton CA, reacted like a spoiled pre-schooler, screaming his head off.
Sherman’s tantrum was indefensible, so naturally many MSM operatives defended him. At Forbes, a Tommy Tomlinson made up a racial fairy tale.
It seems to me that the only proper response to surviving something like that is to holler like a crazy person.[22 Brief Thoughts About That Richard Sherman Interview by Tommy Tomlinson, Forbes, January 19, 2014.]
Tomlinson also asserted that Sherman was probably smarter than himself or his readers. (Sherman attended Stanford on a football scholarship, where he was given an Affirmative Action B.S. in B.S.—“Communications Studies.”) His Wonderlic Test score is 24—a little over 100 IQ.
In January 2015, a white male personality at CNN subsidiary HLN News said: “I love Richard Sherman, because he always tells the truth.”
Look for Sherman and Lynch to get TV analyst gigs.
Since the Seahawks were eliminated from the playoffs last week by the Carolina Panthers, the MSM won’t be able to suck up to them any more this year.
Remember, during the 2014 season, black players engaged in two racial incidents, in support of racist, black, would-be cop-killer Mike Brown.
Washington Redskins and St. Louis Rams players, respectively, ran onto the field before games with their hands up in the cop-killer salute, the symbol ("Hands Up, Don't Shoot") of the Michael Brown Hoax.
Neither the teams’ owners nor the MSM criticized the players’ race-baiting antics. Over the past generation or so, whenever black NFL players have engaged in such behavior, the MSM have either ignored or praised and rewarded it.
And they’d better! White NFL announcer Chris Collinsworth, who was a standout Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, confessed in 2005 to Bob Costas on the latter’s HBO sports show that he was terrified of saying something that could be construed as “racist.” As I wrote:
In journalism as in academia, the most important questions one has to learn are those which one may not ask… [Collinsworth] stuttered and stammered as he tried to say that he is so nervous about touching professionally on race in any way, because it could instantly end his announcing career, that he is afraid to ask any race-related questions.
Ownership and the MSM have also consistently ignored black players’ racial violence.
This goes back years. In 1998, black New Orleans Saints players were violently hazing young white players. Rookie tight end Cam Cleeland was hit by black linebacker Andre Royal “with a sock full of coins that broke his eye socket and nose, and almost caused him to lose vision in his eye.” [Former Husky Cam Cleeland remembers his NFL hazing By Bob Condotta, Seattle Times, November 9, 2013]The NFL’s response: ignore it. (The Saints traded Andre Royal, while cutting white victim Jeff Danish, who was almost killed in the incident.)
Only one MSM report quoted Cleeland’s father pointing out the racial nature of the assault:
Cleeland's father, Gene… called the hazing brutal and attributed it in part to Cleeland's being slated as a starter. He also said the players involved were black; Cleeland is white. "This smacks somewhat of reverse racism," Gene Cleeland said.[Cleeland's Father, Ditka Blast Saints About Hazing by Mary Foster, The AP/Seattle Times, August 25, 1998.]
At least four black NFL players have, to my knowledge, publicly engaged in racism against whites—but were not only not punished, but were given high-paying, cushy, TV analyst jobs: Deion Sanders, Keyshawn Johnson, Bart Scott and Warren Sapp. (Sapp was fired last February, not due to his racism or incompetence, but because of his arrest after an incident involving him price-gouging prostitutes. [Police: Warren Sapp haggled over price with escort, filmed sex act, By John Breech, CBSSports.com, February 19, 2015] Go figure.)
Contrast this to the MSM’s periodic witch hunts against white players, including Kerry Collins, Bill Romanowski, Riley Cooper and Richie Incognito.
Incognito was a white Miami Dolphins star offensive lineman who, in 2013, along with black teammates Mike Pouncey and John Jerry, was hazing a young, black offensive lineman, Jonathan Martin. When Martin went public, several black teammates lavished praise on Incognito, whom they defended as an “honorary” black, permitted to use the “n” word, while criticizing Martin.
But the MSM ignored Incognito’s black defenders and ran with the standard narrative. Indeed, black Washington Post sports columnist Jason Reid was apoplectic that black players would refuse to show loyalty to Martin, calling the “honorary” black statement “a new entry for the stupidest-quote-in-history award” [Miami Dolphins blacks’ support for Richie Incognito in NFL bullying affair is troubling Washington Post, November 8, 2013.]
It was essential to the MSM and the NFL [PDF] that a white man be made the face of “bullying” and “racism” in the league—and that a black man be made the face of victimization.
Incognito was thrown out of the league. But his black partners in the hazing, Mike Pouncey and John Jerry, were never fired, fined, disciplined, or reprimanded.
Indeed, in spring 2014 the Dolphins agreed to pay Pouncey $7.438 million for one season, when they picked up his option for 2015, and last April 10, they signed him to a five-year extension for “$52.15 million with $22 million guaranteed” [Mike Pouncey, Dolphins Agree on New Contract by Joseph Zucker, Bleacher Report, Apr 10, 2015]. John Jerry started all 16 games for the Dolphins in 2013, and moved on to the Giants in 2014, where he also started all 16 games, and in 2015 played in every game for them.
By contrast, Richie Incognito was “whitelisted” by the NFL for 1.5 seasons, costing him millions of dollars. Finally, Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan pulled him off the scrap heap for the 2015 season, but he was signed for a measly $1.1 million, about one-tenth what Mike Pouncey was making. Note that football analyst Neil Hornsby acclaimed Incognito as the third-best guard (of 64) in the league [Richie Incognito is Back, and He’s Among the NFL’s Best by Neil Hornsby, Sports Illustrated, October 1, 2015.] Some late-season local reports argued that Incognito was possibly the Bills’ best player, playing at a Pro Bowl level. [The resurrection of Richie Incognito, By Sal Maiorana, Democrat & Chronicle, December 19, 2015]The un-PC reality: the NFL is overrun with violent black criminals and nobody seems to care.
Indeed, 2015 saw relatively little racial action, except for the usual propaganda claiming that black assistant coaches are discriminated against. [Study Finds Racial Bias in Promotion among NFL Coaches , GWU Press Release, January 20, 2016] The biggest race story was in college football: the country’s best player Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey, was cheated out of the Heisman Trophy for playing while white.
But white players continue to be the Great White Dopes, discriminated against in the NFL at positions like running back, wide receiver, and defensive back, no matter how fast, strong, and athletic they are.
There’s an easy way to beat the Great White Dope syndrome in sports. All white i.e. most American fans need do is turn off the TV—or switch the channel to non-sports presentations.
Thereby can they liberate what the Huffington Post assures us are black “slaves” …and themselves.
