The Biden Regime announced a deal ostensibly to help Panama close the Darien Gap chokepoint for illegal aliens, mostly from Africa, South America, and the Middle East, making their way north. Panama is a signatory to the Refugee Convention and has asylum laws that meet so-called international standards. But no refugees want to stay in Panama; there is no welfare and only the lowliest work available.

Therefore Panama is just a way stop for the poorest illegal aliens heading onward to the United States. Those with more money fly to Nicaragua or Mexico, then enter the United States without applying for asylum along the way. All the others must deal with the Darien Gap, a rugged jungle track from Colombia to Panama.

The state secret is that the Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), Alejandro Mayorkas, has a current secret deal with Panama, where the United States funds refugee camps in Panama and pays for the onward transportation, usually by bus, of the illegal aliens.

The latest deal is likely designed to give the appearance of enforcement, sending some back home paid for by America, but “screening” others, then sending those illegal aliens directly to the United States, using the first Biden Regime Parole Amnesty, itself based on the Obama Regime Administrative Amnesty for Central American Minors (CAM), as a template [Inside The Lawless Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty, by Federale, Federale Blog, January 31, 2022].

The U.S. and Panama signed an agreement on Monday that will allow American officials to help the Panamanian government deport migrants who cross the Darién Gap, a once-impenetrable jungle that has become a popular transit point for those traveling to the U.S. southern border.

The Department of Homeland Security will be dispatching officials who have experience screening asylum claims and deporting migrants to Panama so they can assist their Panamanian counterparts on the ground.

The key word here is a qualifier, “screening.” This implies that some will be allowed to continue on their journey, otherwise there would be no need for screening, but only for deportation or a really big fence. They don’t even need alligators as there are already crocodiles in the area’s rivers.

But the publicly facing “enforcement” appears more unlikely to be real enforcement in the DHS press announcement on the issue.

The new arrangement between the United States and Panama advances collaboration on migration management, including support for safe and effective Panamanian repatriation operations that include protection screening

Under the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection, the United States is working with 21 partners throughout the region to take coordinated actions to promote stability, expand lawful pathways and provide individuals with options to stay where they are, and humanely manage borders throughout the Americas.

Here “screening” is combined with “lawful pathways,” the illegal Biden Regime Parole Amnesty, to likely result in another secret parole program similar to the CAM program. This so-called deportation program will really be cover for yet another amnesty.
