Tucker was galvanized in particular by the MSM’s behavior over-
…an amazing moment last week when the Governor of Texas proclaimed that the chief executive of the United States was facilitating an invasion of the United States and stopping the state of Texas from working to prevent it. The Governor called Biden a “lawless president who does nothing to stop external threats like cartels smuggling millions of illegal immigrants across the border.”
You would have to be blind not to see what is happening here. By forcing open the border and overriding states’ rights, the Biden administration is acting like an agent of chaos, tossing out border security to recruit voters in an election it fears it will lose, and thus cementing a blue majority for the future.
He is enraged to report:
The New York Times ignored it completely. The Wall Street Journal did the same. There is nothing on MSNBC or NPR. CNN has run a report a week late and bizarrely rendered the whole dispute as a struggle over whether the federal government can save children from drowning.
A week after the crisis began, other reliable venues such as Business Insider and Vox started reporting, with a strong and determined slant against Texas…the media blackout persists in the strangest way, broken only by wild propaganda that smears everyone who doubts the wisdom of the practice as a violent racist.
Tucker goes on to say:
…it looks for all the world like some order came down from somewhere that said: don’t report on this….It looks highly coordinated.
Tucker explains why for some time he had subscribed to the “Hive Mind” theory of MSM self-censorship but that the COVID news repression scandal has convinced him that central—possibly Government—management is involved.
This is precisely the conclusion Peter Brimelow came to some years ago. In April 2020’s podcast Wondering Why U.S. Immigration Policy Is Run By Communists? LISTEN To Diana West And Peter Brimelow, he said (24:00–25:00):
I used to go with Joe Sobran and think it was the Hive…but now I think it’s a damn conspiracy. But it’s an example that conspiracies do exist.
Tucker is outraged that repression of news of such existential importance to the Nation should be so blatantly repressed. But it is working. In his recent Political Cesspool podcast Peter Brimelow noted that his Dallas-based father-in-law has told of him of a prominent local lawyer whom he recently found totally ignorant of the Border situation. In Texas!
News repression and Lawfare make a grim outlook.
But maybe there are limits. Last Sunday in Courageous 60 MINUTES Piece Illustrates How Chinese Immivasion Happening—But Short On "Why" And Implications I marveled that this impeccably MSM source should run such an honest if analytically limited piece. (Maybe they have started to worry about future credibility.)
