My first acquaintance with the aphorism "Demography is destiny," came from writings of Peter Brimelow (see, e.g., here and here).

Naturally, the mega-unlovely Heidi Beirich of the Southern Poverty Lie Center ("$PLC" in the VDARE.com style guide), in one of her routine tar and feathers hyperventilations, cluck-clucked over John Tanton's use of the aphorism.

But now we have very-politically-correct cover for use of the adage. According to the Los Angeles Times,  Arizona's crackdown on illegal migrants feels familiar, by Teresa Watanabe, Anna Gorman and Nicholas Riccardi, April 16, 2010

"Demography is destiny," said Antonio Gonzalez of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, which helped register more than 55,000 new Latino voters in Arizona between 2004 and 2008.
If reconquistas like Gonzalez are using it, we can use it!
