A couple of weeks ago, President Trump in a radio in Michigan raised the issue of immigration’s contribution to crime:
The presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee sat down with West Michigan Live with Justin Barclay on Monday to talk about ”Biden migrant crime“ and promised to deliver the “largest deportation in history“ if he is returned to the White House in November.
Trump: Venezuela ’Dumped’ Its Gang Members Into US, by Nicole Wells, NewsMax, Tuesday, April 2, 2024
This topic as usual has provoked an avalanche of purported “Fact Checking” articles seeking to rubbish Trump’s charges. Somewhat atypical was NBC News’ Trump’s claims of a migrant crime wave are not supported by national data, by Olympia Sonnier and Garrett Haake, February 29, 2024.
Trump's claims of a migrant crime wave are not supported by national data https://t.co/rYuOZLj1KW via @nbcnews >><> How many dead American bodies will it take before the left wakes up and stops being "woke" on the illegal immigration issue?

Atypical because 13 paragraphs down the Trump people were allowed to raise a crucial question:
“Democrat cities purposefully do not document when crimes are committed by illegal immigrants, because they don’t want American citizens to know the truth about the dangerous impact Joe Biden’s open border is having on their communities,” Karoline Leavitt, Trump campaign press secretary, said.
Ethical journalism would have put this charge much further up, so that their readers would not have fallen asleep before reaching it.
I thought about this issue when ZeroHedge posted Migrant Crime Explodes Higher In Germany In 2023, Violent Crime Hits Record Levels, by Tyler Durden, April 10, 2024.
The number of foreign suspects soared to around 923,000 last year, representing a massive 18 percent increase in just one year nationwide, according to crime statistics from the German Interior Ministry released on Tuesday.
However, the even more shocking number may have to do with violent crimes, which soared to record levels in 2023.
The data from the interior ministry shows that 41 percent of all crime suspects are foreigners…
The German authorities, equally keen on hastening the Great Replacement, are rushing to give citizenship to immigrants because
German crime statistics list anyone who commits a crime as “German” regardless of their migration background as long as they have a German passport.
But being Germans it probably never occurred to them not to count accurately.

Why would it be that Germany’s immivaders are having such an impact on crime rates, but not America’s?
One possible reason would be that Germany gets proportionately more African blacks and Muslims and fewer Latinos.
This is of course an excellent reason to keep African blacks and Muslims out (although recent U.S. Latino data is not great).
More to the point, any comparison between immigrant and American propensity to crime is distorted by the astonishing criminality of American blacks, with 13% of the population more than doubling the national rate of murders: FBI Homicide Data: Blacks Account For ~58% Of Known Murder Offenders In 2022. In general, the higher the existing proportion of non-whites in the population, the lesser the impact of the arrival of more: NYPD 2023 Report: Non-Whites Suspects In 96.5% Of Homicides And 97.8% Of Shootings—NYC Is 32% White.
Steve Sailer has said that murders are quite difficult to not count because they leave bodies around. But other crimes are easy to ignore, either because of incompetence, police laziness or demoralization, skepticism on the part of the public that anything will be done—or politically motivated repression. He says (above):
For, literally, decades the FBI has been trying to get all the local police departments in the country to switch from the original methodology for the [Uniform Crime Reporting] to a new, slightly better methodology organized around incidents. It’s incredibly boring and appears to be apolitical: cops, both in the FBI and local police departments, are not data nerds and this kind of thing makes their heads hurt so they procrastinate. Last year’s data was particularly sketchy…
Even the NBC hatchet job quoted above concedes (15th and 16th paragraph):
National crime data, especially pertaining to undocumented immigrants, is notoriously incomplete. The national data comes in piecemeal and can only be evaluated holistically when the annual data is released.
The data is incomplete on how many crimes each year are committed by migrants, primarily because most local police don’t record immigration status when they make arrests.
The fact is, American crime statistics, except perhaps for murders, are not worth much, mainly because they are politically inconvenient. See Stix Vindicated! Academics, Magazine Confirm Big City Police Are “Disappearing” Crime

Anecdotal data is probably more reliable.
Agree. Anecdotal evidence way more powerful than people let on. Also more up to date, I remember when the "data" said long-term welfare receipt wasn't a problem. Anecdotes said it was. The anecdotes were right (data eventually caught up to them). https://t.co/Upa313ivOL

The only country which does a fully honest job of assessing immigrant crime seems to be Denmark. The results are chilling: Admitting Palestinians Would Be Disastrous. Denmark Has The Numbers.
