One wonders whether Missouri’s GOP Senator Josh Hawley, a courageous immigration patriot who rates an A+ from Numbers USA, is just another American who thinks part of his job is representing Israel. On October 31, Hawley yet again brutally interrogated Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas during his testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, this time about a radical Islamist that handles asylum cases. But Hawley didn’t focus on that.

Instead, he fretted about Adjudication Officer Nejwa Ali’s unhinged, Judeocritical, anti-Israel rants on social media, most notably after the recent Hamas attack on Israel [The U.S. Gov’t Hired A Pro-Hamas PLO Spokeswoman To Handle Asylum Claims, by Luke Rosiak, Daily Wire, October 18, 2023].

At U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Ali’s job is to “analyze new or amended legislation and policy, prepare written reports of findings, and review and make determinations on cases for immigration benefits,” as Rosiak reported. 

Frighteningly, her first job at DHS was as an asylum officer. They “adjudicate asylum applications, conduct credible and reasonable fear screenings, and adjudicate other benefit applications managed by the asylum program, including motions to reopen and reconsider.”

Before Biden’s DHS hired her, she was a spokeswoman for the terrorist Palestine Liberation Organization.

How many terrorists that Ali imported we are not given to know, but Hawley got to the real black mark against Ali. She hates Israel. “Palestine will be free one day. F*** APARTHEID Israel and any Israeli that supports that bulls***,” she instagrammed after the Hamas attack:

F*** you, may Allah forgive you. and spare us the crocodile tears, I sure as hell give zero f***s.

We can surmise that Ali doesn’t think much of the Jews or their ethnostate.

Thus did Hawley bash Mayorkas and ask why she hadn’t been fired:

Mr. Secretary what is going on here? Is this typical of people who work at DHS? This is an Asylum and Immigration Officer who is posting these frankly pro-genocidal slogans and images on the day that Israelis are being slaughtered in their beds.

So Hawley missed the most important thing: a former spokesman for the PLO is working in the Homeland Security Department and could settle a benefits case in favor of a terrorist who kills Americans. And, as an asylum officer, she already might have invited terrorists into the country.

Some of us want to know why a person called Nejwa Ali, now on leave, is even in the country, let alone working for DHS. We all know the answer.

Upshot: A terror sympathizer is, or was, helping decide asylum cases at DHS. But the real problem is “anti-Semitism” and hatred of a foreign country.
