Two teenage girls were randomly stabbed while enjoying a Christmas morning meal with their parents at a Grand Central Terminal restaurant—with their deranged attacker now facing attempted murder charges, authorities said.
The girls, a 14- and 16-year-old visiting from South America, were attacked at Tartinery in the Grand Central Dining Concourse around 11:25 a.m. Monday and suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds, WABC-TV reported.
The suspect, 36-year-old Steven Hutcherson, allegedly attacked the tourists after getting into a dispute with restaurant staffers who were trying to kick him out of the eatery, the outlet reported.
“I want all the white people dead,” Hutcherson allegedly yelled, law enforcement sources told The Post. “I want to sit next to the crackers.”
That’s when he allegedly lunged at the unsuspecting teens.
The stabbing happened around 11:25am on Christmas when the family had stopped for an early lunch.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Steven Hutcherson of the Bronx, allegedly told the girls, ‘I want all the white people dead.” “I want to sit next to the crackers.”’
Hutcherson ... had popped up at the restaurant and said he wanted a table but wasn’t going to order anything.When Hutcherson complained that the two victims were being allowed to sit in the restaurant, he allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed them both.
Hutcherson was arrested in under a minute as MTA police swooped in from their nearby posts.
One of the girls was stabbed in the thigh while the other was stabbed in the back, nicking her lung. the teens were released from the hospital later that day, and “are OK.”
Hutcherson has an extensive criminal record and has been charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
Hutcherson was arrested twice in the last six months for intimidating people while brandishing a knive in the Bronx. He pleaded guilty to both his weapons possession arrests from November 7 and July 24.
For his July office he was given a 15-day jail sentence, while for November he was given a conditional discharge together with a temporary restraining order against his victim. Hutcherson was also arrested on Oct. 2 and charged with smashing a display case at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in Manhattan, causing $81,000 in damage, He got 15 days in jail.
“DAs are chopping all the charges down. Judges are letting him go,” a law enforcement source added.
“Now we’ve got two teenagers who were stabbed.”
The two white girls stabbed are from Ecuador. Hopefully the Ecuadorian media makes this a huge story and warns white people in Ecuador not to visit New York City or the United States, lest they be stabbed by a black career criminal.
