I suspect the hosannas to Muhammad Ali (who died yesterday, aged 74) will not include his views on inter-racial marriage. He was against it. At least at one time.
It’s nature to want to be with your own, he told BBC’s leftish television host Sir Michael Parkinson in 1971.
And no intelligent person wants to mix races, he firmly said during a speech in 1968.
And, he said in that speech, opposing miscegenation it isn’t a matter of hate. As he told Parkinson, it’s a matter of racial and cultural self-preservation.
What could be wrong with that? Nothing, if you are black or some other minority. It you’re white, it’s considered racism.
