As is expected, the open borders lobby is going on the offensive and attacking any kind of enforcement. The New York Times’ headline shows the fear mongering, “Sweeping Raids, Giant Camps and Mass Deportations: Inside Trump’s 2025 Immigration Plans”.

Remember a few things here. First off, the liberal media is in favor of open borders. The large corporations and globalists who control them want more people coming into the U.S. for a variety of reasons.
Secondly, they know human interest stories sell well with the general public. Remember, “Kids Are Cute, Therefore—OPEN BORDERS!” So, in the event that any Republican is elected president, and they do try to crack down on illegal immigration, expect the sob stories to be rolling out about the poor little dearies.
Frankly, the Republican’ts should get in front of that foreseeable problem by rolling out the Angel Moms or anyone who has lost a job due to cheap foreign labor. Third, in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s loss to Trump, the Dems held focus groups and discovered what they already sort of knew; that if someone didn’t go along with the Democratic agenda, then calling them “RACIST!!!” was a good way of shaming into agreeing with them.
The NYT writes
In a public reference to his plans, Trump told a crowd in Iowa in September, “Following the Eisenhower model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” The reference was to a 1954 campaign to round up and expel Mexican immigrants that was named for an ethnic slur—“Operation Wetback.”
Horrors be! Trump hasn’t even uttered the dreaded term “Wetback” (only a ”slur” if it's used to describe Mexican-Americans or legal immigrants) and he’s being tied to it. Is the New York Times going to mention that Eisenhower fought actual Nazis, real fascism instead of the made-up kind? Besides, the Times used the term back when Eisenhower was deporting illegal aliens and before.

General Eisenhower, who was gearing up for his run for the presidency, said ”Amen” to Senator Fulbright's proposal. He then quoted a report in The New York Times, highlighting one paragraph that said: ”The rise in illegal border-crossing by Mexican 'wetbacks' to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels of the Federal Government.”

It has always been a calculation of the Left that once a person is here, it is very hard and expensive to deport them. Things get tied up in court. The aliens have kids in the United States, get married and so Plus, often their home countries don’t want them back, let alone the logistical problem of flying someone to Uganda, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, or some other armpit of the world.
With around 9 million illegal aliens let in by this administration plus the roughly 20 million who were already here, it is going to get messy. Will the American public have the stomach for it? There is always a tension between law enforcement and civil liberties. I was reading online where some supposed conservatives are upset about the Border Patrol being allowed to operate checkpoints within 100 miles of the border. In order to locate illegal aliens, the Border Patrol will have to do a lot more of that sort of stuff that libertarians hate … or you could just give in to Open Borders and amnesty everyone.
