I was watching the Center for Immigration Studies panel, “The How and Why of the Mayorkas Impeachment.”
George Fishman of the Center for Immigration Studies quoting independent council Walsh at minute 31:10, “When a President chooses to skirt the laws, or, to circumvent them, it is incumbent upon his subordinates to resist, not join in. Their oath and fealty are to the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law, not to the man temporarily occupying the Oval Office.”
So, then I go over to Border Hawk News, and, once again, the Border Patrol Agents are disregarding the BP motto of “Honor First,” and going with “Pension First.”

I know I’m one to talk since I’ve long since been retired. It would take guts for a Border Patrol Agent to stand up to his supervisors and refuse to help illegal aliens into the country. They fear being fired and having to sue to get their jobs back. I’d love it if America First or some such organization were able to find an Agent willing to do just that, refuse to follow unconstitutional orders, and risk disciplinary action up to firing, but willing to sue to get his job back.
The impeachment of Mayorkas failed, and even that was because Schumer refused to follow the Constitution, which says:
“The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.”
I do wonder if it’s possible to take this back to the courts since Schumer took the step of refusing to hold a trial at all, but essentially dismissed the trial that is supposed to occur in the Senate. (The Chief Justice only need be there if the President is on trial).
