Earlier: Illegals Get Drivers Licenses In New York, Americans "Hardest Hit"—By Hit And Run Drivers
Well, that is good news. Chad Wolf, Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is studying an ongoing problem, a problem that has been ongoing for years. Wolf will study the issuance of driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. This appears to have been spurred by recent legislation in New York and New Jersey that allows illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses.
The acting secretary of Homeland Security is taking aim Tuesday at new laws in New York, New Jersey and other states that allow immigrants to get driver’s licenses without proof they are in the U.S. legally, and restrict data sharing with federal authorities.
Chad Wolf sent a memo to all the components of Homeland Security, which include U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration, requesting a department study on how the laws affect its enforcement efforts for both immigration and other investigations into human trafficking, drug smuggling and counterterrorism.
New York’s law went into effect earlier this month, and migrants lined up to get documents. It was the 13th state to authorize licenses for drivers without legal immigration status, and most of the other states also restrict data sharing. New Jersey lawmakers passed a similar bill in December.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, both Democrats, are frequent thorns in the side of the Trump administration’s efforts to restrict immigration. New York City is home to an estimated 500,000 immigrants in the country illegally.

So, Wolf will study this problem, instead of taking action that is available on a number of fronts. First, let us note that Wolf did nothing when illegal aliens began lining up for those driver’s licenses. Why didn’t Wolf order U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol to take action while those aliens were standing in line outside of New York Department of Motor Vehicles offices?
BEAUTIFUL! On the first day of #GreenLightNY, our members are beyond proud to chant:

Well, Chad Wolf did nothing. He did not order enforcement action. He did not order raids on those offices to round up illegal aliens. He did not order raids on groups of illegal aliens openly lobbying and celebrating the passage of legislation in New Jersey.
Some 500,000 undocumented immigrants could soon gain access to driver's licenses in New Jersey.

State lawmakers passed a bill that would allow undocumented people to apply for driver's licenses, and the Democratic governor is expected to sign it into law. pic.twitter.com/OAegJuEgYu
Chad Wolf did not order ICE SVU to begin making arrests of DMV employees in New Jersey and New York who accepted and processed applications for driver’s licenses. He still has not ordered ICE SVU to subpoena the driver’s license records of illegal aliens in California and other States that issue such licenses. He did not request that the Department of Justice intervene and obtain an injunction to the law in New York or other States. He left it to patriotic New Yorkers to fight for an injunction.
Wolf is no better than Kirstjen Nielsen or Kevin McAleenan.
Your humble correspondent thought this would be the case, and I was not surprised. Wolf is a Nielsen creature and he continues to fail. When will heads of DHS be held accountable? Why isn’t President Trump appointing those who support his policy to the Secretary’s position? To date, none have supported him.
Personnel is policy. Time for some personnel who support arresting illegal aliens.
