The role of prestige law firms in advancing America’s twin disaster of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Open Borders cannot be underestimated.

Recently, in THE FIRM: Paul, Weiss, Treason Lobby Legal Powerhouse, Works Overtime For The Great Replacement, I discussed how Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison has become an integral part of the Treason Lobby.

Now it’s time to get acquainted with Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP (“Willkie”) as well.

Established in 1888, the New York City–based firm bears the name of the liberal Republican lawyer Wendell Willkie, who came aboard following his defeat in the 1940 presidential election by Franklin Roosevelt. Other noteworthy alumni include Supreme Court Justices Felix Frankfurter and Charles Evans Hughes. Its current “firm Chairs”: Thomas M. Cerabino and Matthew A. Feldman.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s core activities remain antitrust litigation, mergers & acquisitions, and investigations. It currently employs about 1,200 lawyers across more than 45 practice groups in 14 offices worldwide. It’s doing quite well for itself. Revenues totaled $1.5 billion in 2023, up 8.7 percent from the previous year. Average profit per equity partner was $3.86 million.

But its pro bono work is having an even more dramatic impact.

What really defines the Willkie firm is its self-proclaimed

…longstanding commitment to serving the underprivileged, promoting social justice, and supporting the communities in which we live and work.

Willkie Wins The National Law Journal 2022 ESG and Community Impact Award, August 30, 2022

For example, the firm has accepted the Pro Bono Institute Law Firm Challenge, which commits signatories to annually contribute pro bono time equal to three percent of total billable hours, or 60 hours per attorney. This totalitarian decree mandates that

…our firm agrees that, in meeting the minimum goals described above, we will use our best efforts to ensure that a majority of both partners and associates in the firm participate annually in pro bono activities.

and

To ensure that the firm’s policies with respect to evaluation, advancement, productivity, and compensation of its attorneys are compatible with the firm’s strong commitment to encourage and support substantial pro bono participation by all attorneys. [My emphasis]

In other words, the Partners not only commit a proportion of their revenues to the cause, but also agree to coerce their individual employees into conformity.

Furthermore, the Willkie firm is closely allied with the so-called Lawyers for Racial Justice non-profit, which proclaims on its website:

There is no such thing as ”good government” without racial justice

and gloats

Corporate counsel from the Bank of New York Mellon Corp., General Electric Co., Johnson & Johnson, Verizon Wireless, Dell Technologies and several other sizable companies have joined with major law firms and a national network of pro bono lawyers as part of an effort to drive systemic change and racial justice. Need one say more?

So who are these clients getting Willkie’s free help?

Consider Monica R., a 15-year-old Salvadorean referred to the firm by an immigration-facilitation outfit called Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), which proclaims

We envision a world in which children’s rights and well-being are protected as they migrate alone in search of safety.

Over eight years, the Willkie firm litigated ferociously and got her a Green Card.

Did these self-congratulating lawyers consider the fact consider that MS-13 has built a massive criminal network in the U.S. estimated in recent years at over 10,000 members? And that Monica R. may be able to sponsor some of them into the U.S. through the disastrous  “family reunification” loophole in current U.S, immigration law?

Willkie Farr & Gallagher also has secured asylum status for some of the nearly 100,000 Afghan refugees who arrived here following the Taliban conquest in August 2021. Its website asserts:

Willkie attorneys are providing pro bono legal services to Afghan asylum and humanitarian parole seekers through our partnerships with the Afghan Network for Advocacy, HIAS, Human Rights First, Tahirih Justice Center, VECINA and others.

Compassion like this we can do without.

As VDARE.com pointed out shortly after the exodus began (The Coming Threat From Afghan “Refugees”—And The GOP Leadership Wimp-Out), their claims of asylum or refugee status have often been unverifiable if not fraudulent. Many arrived with State Department–issued blank visas that can be used by anyone, including terrorists.

And even with proper authorization, the beneficiaries aren’t likely to repay us with gratitude. Extensive survey data amassed in 2021 by the Center for Immigration Studies’ Jason Richwine showed widespread support among Afghan migrants here for family honor killings, death by stoning of adulterous women, and mass suicide bombings.

The report also revealed high crime rates among Afghans in Europe.

Even more infuriating, Willkie Farr & Gallagher played a central role during the Trump years in blocking construction of the Border Wall.

On October 11, 2019, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Texas David Briones ruled in favor of Willkie’s clients who had sued the Trump administration.

Willkie lawyers had argued that President Trump’s February 15, 2019 declaration of a national border emergency, Proclamation 9844, exceeded his authority. The claim was false. Section 8005 of the Defense Appropriations Act had authorized the Secretary of Defense to transfer up to $4 billion of funds for “higher priority items.”

Notwithstanding, Judge Briones, a Clinton appointee, gave the plaintiffs a green light to file a temporary injunction. The consequences can be measured in the surge of fentanyl-related deaths in the U.S.

Finally, Willkie works closely with a New York–based nonprofit, Immigration Equality, formed 30 years ago as a campaign to reset America as a gay, lesbian, and transgender global sanctuary.

Immigration Equality proclaims:

If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGTBQ) and or HIV-positive and have a legal question or need representation, our legal resources can help.

Willkie is one of those resources.

And it acknowledges as much. In October 2020, upon receiving Immigration Equality’s #ProudandFree Law Firm Award, partner and pro bono chairman Wesley Powell stated in his online acceptance speech:

We really value the partnership and the small part that we played in Immigration Equality’s 25 years of helping LGBTQ and HIV-positive asylum seekers, and we congratulate Immigration Equality on that milestone today.

The public health risks apparently were not worth mentioning.

Radical law firms must be understood in the context of a larger network of lawmakers, bureaucrats, prosecutors, judges, nonprofit NGOs, law school professors, and the American Bar Association. These people are dedicated to making it legally impossible to restrict immigration or remove migrants living here illegally.

“Possession is nine-tenths of the law,” goes the lawyers’ adage. This principle applies to nations as well as private property. America is coming into the possession of people who despise its origins and identity.

Willkie Farr & Gallagher is happy to help.

(Thought Experiment: What a different world it would be if this Wall Street parasite maintained a bipartisan policy and took up pro bono VDARE.COM’s undisputable First Amendment case vs. New York Attorney General Letitia James’ unscrupulous thuggery.)
