The latest Trump lawyer to plead guilty—to being a Trump lawyer—is Jenna Ellis:

Ellis pleaded guilty to a felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings. She had been facing charges of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and soliciting the violation of oath by a public officer.

She rose to speak after pleading guilty, fighting back tears as she said she would have not have represented Trump after the 2020 election if she knew then what she knows now, claiming that she …relied on lawyers with much more experience than her and failed to verify the things they told her.

Her ”crime” was that she provided legal services to the foremost Enemy of The Proletariat. It didn’t occur to her that he would do nothing to help her when Comrade Attorney General came for his little people, one after another. The message to other lawyers is clear: If you represent enemies of the communist occupation, we will bankrupt you and destroy your career. No wonder it’s nearly impossible for a conservative subject to a lawfare attack to find competent legal counsel.
